Continuing our series of NBI staff discussing papers presented at the 2022 ACEEE Summer Study, we talk with Senior Project Manager, Sean Denniston, about how NBI’s groundbreaking Building Decarbonization Code can be used by jurisdictions.
Sean co-authored the paper Driving Decarbonization with Codes, which explains how NBI’s Building Decarbonization Code can be used by jurisdictions to address not just energy use in buildings, but carbon emissions. The paper also shares findings from a study that looked at the cost-effectiveness of implementing the Building Decarbonization Code.
