Katie Scott joined NBI’s marketing and communications team in October 2023. As an internal content manager with NBI, Katie creates content and oversees communication strategies to share the impacts of NBI’s initiatives with a wide variety of stakeholder audiences. Katie has a background in marketing and communications focused on sustainable design and the built environment. She has worked with architects, engineers, and higher-ed sustainability managers to broaden the impact of their work through clear communication. Through strategizing messages, developing content, and visually communicating information, she helps teams translate technical expertise into compelling narratives that resonate with the people they’re trying to reach. Katie brings a strategic and creative approach to her work. She has an MFA degree in collaborative design which focused on human-centered design, systems thinking, social entrepreneurship, and equitable leadership.
