Janice Berman

Director of Grid Innovation, Pacific Gas & Electric

Janice Berman is the director of Grid Innovation at Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E). Her team’s mission is to test and demonstrate innovative technologies, programs, and capabilities that are needed to operate the “grid of tomorrow.” Previous to this role she was the senior director of energy efficiency strategy. Over the past three decades at PG&E, Ms. Berman has held numerous regulatory, financial, and operational posts: including director of customer generation, director of rates and tariffs, director of revenue requirements, director of business development, and director of gas system operations. She is a currently a Board Member of the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE), and a past Board member of the Consortium for Energy Efficiency (CEE) and New Buildings Institute (NBI).
