In 2017, NBI celebrated its 20th anniversary marking steadfast progress in achieving market transformation toward improved energy efficiency in the built environment. Our founders envisioned a new organization that would be dedicated to advancing codes, conducting research, and developing guidance needed to drive markets in energy efficiency in the building sector. With the help of our board members and valued sponsors and partners, we have even made strides to achieving market growth in the ultimate efficiency goal: zero energy and zero carbon.
