This special event features a presentation from a leading installer of heat pump water heater installations, along with interactive training, and a manufacturer trade fair during Heat Pump Water Heater Week. Event attendees will explore split heat pump water heaters (HPWHs) through an immersive learning experience featuring interactive instruction and a manufacturer trade fair. Participants will learn how split heat HPWHs work, how they differ from conventional and integrated systems, and what to consider when evaluating applications and available products.

Why is this important?
Buildings account for 40% of greenhouse gas emissions, making efficient water heating a practical opportunity to reduce energy use. Heat pump water heaters use 75% less energy than conventional water heaters, meeting hot water needs while lowering energy consumption and emissions.

Split HPWHs are an emerging technology that separates the compressor from the tank and places it outdoors. Several manufacturers have released new products in the past year, making this a timely opportunity for contractors, students, and other interested participants to understand the technology and explore available options. The event will be offered in person, and the presentations will be livestreamed for virtual participation
