K-12 schools can gain national recognition for efforts to improve school facilities with the Efficient and Healthy Schools Campaign. In this free webinar, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and Lawrence Berkeley National Lab (LBNL) outline the 2022/23 Recognition program, and Columbia Public Schools in Missouri share their experience receiving 2021/22 Recognition for implementing energy efficient HVAC retrofit resulting in improved indoor environmental quality. This webinar was geared toward school district staff and their supporters to learn about ways to gain recognition for planning and implementation activities.
This campaign engages K-12 schools —especially those serving low-income and underserved student populations, and schools in rural communities— to improve their buildings. The campaign offers technical assistance to schools on improving energy performance, reducing carbon emissions, and promoting a healthy learning environment.
