Peter led PG&E market-facing activities for Zero Net Energy (ZNE) 2010-2019. Accomplishing numerous consultations for customers and builders interested in building and documenting the performance of ZNE and high performance. He also supervised two groundbreaking, widely circulated studies, “The Technical Potential for ZNE in California,” and “The Road to ZNE”. This work shows, briefly, that ZNE is feasible for about 75% of the new building stock going forward, and that the most significant barriers to ZNE are around policy and economics, and not technical feasibility.
