Tristan Grant is the acting director of codes and policy, coordinating NBI’s regional and national code strategy on issues of decarbonization, resilience, building performance, and associated impacts on human health. He brings over a decade of experience in the renewable energy and high–performance design and construction industries. Tristan’s work has aided clients in scoping and developing comprehensive and strategic approaches at the project, portfolio, local, state, and national levels. He has overseen the implementation of research and pilot demonstration projects, helped craft corporate sustainability strategies, authored industry white papers and peer-reviewed research, presented at and curated regional energy and sustainability conferences and webinars, and been featured in industry articles. Tristan holds a Master of Design Studies in Sustainable Design from the Boston Architectural College. He represents NBI’s organizational voting seat on the ASHRAE 189.1 committee, is a voting member to 90.2 ESC, and a consultant to 90.1.
