Forty-five years in the energy field have taken Susan on a journey through energy policy, electric and telecommunications regulation and deregulation, energy efficiency, renewable energy, new technology, market transformation, climate change, non-profit leadership, and more. Her academic background was in mathematics and economics, with degrees from Le Moyne College, Virginia Commonwealth University, and the great University of Wisconsin. Susan started in the industry as an analyst on a DOE/PURPA-sponsored project, which got her hooked on energy efficiency, renewable energy, and energy policy. Her state regulatory and non-profit experience led to a lifetime of meaningful and fulfilling work with amazing and dedicated colleagues working toward a cleaner energy future. Susan is particularly proud of her achievements as the CEO/Executive Director of three non-profit organizations in the energy field, all stronger on her departure and thriving today. Susan continues as a partner with the Stratton Gilmore Group, where the NBI Board has tapped her to provide a transition between CEOs.
