NBI is seeking a Director of Leadership & Market Development, a Director of Codes and Policy, an Office Manager, and a Senior Project Analyst to join our team and become an integral part of our organization.
- Director of Leadership & Market Development: This position will lead the organization’s strategic engagement work with utilities, commercial real estate firms, developers, funders, and other stakeholders that are focused on reducing energy usage and carbon emissions in the U.S. built environment. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, self-directed and have strong leadership, organizational, and analytical capabilities as well as the ability to communicate about technical topics in an approachable manner. - Director of Codes and Policy: This position will lead the organization’s work in advancing codes and policies that deliver healthy, efficient, and carbon neutral buildings across the U.S. The role requires a technical understanding of national and state building energy codes and policies, along with a deep network of and history of collaboration with partners and stakeholders across state and local jurisdictions, the federal government, and nongovernmental organizations. - Office Manager: This position requires strong administrative experience in meeting scheduling, task prioritization, and other duties of a traditional Office Manager role, while working in our modern hybrid environment. The Office Manager will work in NBI’s downtown office in Portland, OR, generally two days per week and work remote the remaining two days (flexible scheduling is available). Learn more.
- Senior Project Analyst: Project work will focus on existing buildings and incremental costing analyses related to embodied carbon, building electrification, and more. The Senior Project Analyst will support our nonprofit’s rapidly growing efforts to make buildings better for people and the environment through client– and public-facing projects.
