Mark Lyles

Associate Director of Codes and Policy

Mark is integrally involved in the research of advanced design practices and the development of design tools, resources and codes and policy that result in the advancement of high-performance buildings. He holds a Master of Architecture degree, with a focus on sustainability. He previously worked as a job captain with a design firm specializing in the restoration, preservation and adaptive re-use of historic architecture. Mark’s diverse experience includes extensive research and investigation related to the design and construction of high-performance buildings and zero energy buildings. As an Associate Director of Codes and Policy, he is integrally involved in the research and promotion of Zero Net Energy Buildings as well as the technical and design development of key design resources and tools.
