Mark Cherniack, Senior Program Manager
Mark Cherniack is a Senior Program Manager with New Buildings Institute. Mark brings over 30 years’ experience in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy to NBI. He co-directed the Franklin County (MA) Energy Project, served as a Conservation Analyst with the Northwest Power and Conservation Council, opened the first overseas office of the International Institute for Energy Conservation in Bangkok, Thailand, serving as Executive Director. While there he created the first integrated DSM program in Asia. He also managed photovoltaic project work in India, Morocco, Sri Lanka and Viet Nam. He currently manages NBI’s portfolio of projects related to commercial rooftop HVAC efficiency, advanced HVAC diagnostics and HVAC market transformation activities in California with the California Public Utilities Commission and utilities.
