George leads ComEd’s Energy Efficiency activities. He is responsible for developing and implementing ComEd’s portfolio of programs. He had overseen the implementation of all Residential and C&I energy efficiency programs since their inception in 2008. His portfolios of programs have consistently and significantly exceeded their savings goals within their spending cap. George also serves as a spokesperson for ComEd and acts as the Energy Doctor to promote energy efficiency for their customers. Prior to joining ComEd, Malek served at the University of Illinois at Chicago’s Energy Resources Center. George received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology. He received his Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
